"Mark Twain Traveling"
The Performance
The wit, wisdom, humor, and hyperbole of our most American author come to life in "Mark Twain: Traveling." This seventy-five minute, one-person performance, created and performed by Cal Pritner, is a mostly comic, occasionally serious work that celebrates Twain's decidedly irreverent thoughts on the people he met and the places he saw in a lifetime of world travel. The show, premised as a lecture on travel, and created out of more than a decade of research, draws from Twain's travel books and his lectures.
Pritner, as Twain, has entertained audiences from Northern California to New York City, from Michigan to Missouri, in Arizona's oldest bar (Prescott), and in the town square; and he has performed for students in California, New York, Missouri and Michigan.
